Well, he was wrong. Crescent Beach has maintained its small, summer village feeling despite the many condominiums. The founding fathers saw what happened in Miami and Daytona Beach and made plans to keep Crescent Beach condominiums under control. One of the best rules implemented was a height restriction of 35 feet. At Crescent Beach, you won't see a 600 foot skyscraper right on A1A. There is very little commercial development built or available at Crescent Beach. There are some small convenience stores, restaurants and a lot of real estate offices.
