St Augustine Florida is the county seat for
St. Johns County. Most
St Augustine condos are located somewhere in
St. Johns County. The
majority of which are
beachfront condos at St. Augustine Beach. Crescent beach
and
Vilano Beach are two other popular locations for
condos in Saint Augustine.
There are some condos in the historic area of St Augustine. During the past few
years,
investment property,
Florida real estate, and
beachfront condominiums
all along the east coast of Florida have became a popular for the baby boomer
generation and retirees. The historic section of St Augustine adds to the
popularity of our area, and our laid back atmosphere is often is preferred over
skyscraper condos in other areas. With the slowdown in the real estate market
almost anyone can afford a
vacation condo at St Augustine beach.
Crescent Beach Condominiums
Crescent Beach Condominiums are some of the most beautiful
waterfront condos
in St Augustine. Most people think of Crescent Beach as areas that include
Butlers Beach, Summer Haven and a few other areas between. Crescent Beach is an
area with lots of
waterfront condos and very few commercial buildings.
I remember
when the first condo was breaking ground at Crescent Beach. My father and I were
casting for fish in the surf. He mumbled some negative comment about how one day
our beach is going to be another Daytona Beach.
Well, he was wrong. Crescent Beach has maintained its small,
summer village feeling despite the many condominiums. The founding fathers saw
what happened in Miami and Daytona Beach and made plans to keep
Crescent Beach
condominiums under control. One of the best rules implemented was a height
restriction of 35 feet. At Crescent Beach, you won't see a 600 foot skyscraper
right on A1A.
There are several beach access points and plenty of
boat ramps at
Crescent Beach. There are also two state parks in the area.
Crescent Beach homes
also have a height restriction of 35 feet.
Saint Augustine Beach Condos
The northern part of Anastasia Island is what most people consider St
Augustine Beach. The city of St Augustine Beach is only about three miles long
by about one mile wide. The island is wider allowing larger
condos at St
Augustine Beach.
Marsh Creek country club, Publix and the post office are at St
Augustine Beach. With over 60 condos in the area, there are plenty of
oceanfront
condominiums in St Augustine and a few
condos with docks and boat slips. In
recent years,
St Augustine Beach real estate has risen to an unparalleled level.
Exclusive and elegant developments like
Sea Colony homes and new neighborhoods like
Sea Grove offer
new homes close to the beach.
